Last Night of the Proms for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at Speke Hall Led by Russell Watson
To assist celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at Speke Hall, The roof in the open air was raised by people's tenor Russell Watson.
Natasha Marsh, the Manchester Camerata and band Man Get Out was joined by Salford-born singer for last night’s open air Last Night of the Proms.
Watson opened with the National Anthem accompanied by the crowd and hundreds of waving flags.
He told the audience: “I can’t even begin to describe what it looks like from up here out there. It’s just amazing.
“Thank you so very much for coming. We are here to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.”
The 45-year-old tenor, who performed a similar concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, took out his phone to photograph the crowd promising to “tweet it later”.
